In this event, teams will take a test where they will have to decode encrypted messages using cryptanalysis techniques (analyzing and deciphering codes), or show skill with advanced ciphers by encrypting or decrypting a message.  Teams must bring writing utensils and may bring up to three stand-alone non-graphing, non-programmable, non-scientific 4-function or 5-function calculators.  The highest score wins, and teams can divide and conquer the test.
