Over 400 high school students attend the Manufacturing & Engineering program at SSC annually. Part of the manufacturing curriculum focuses on industrial applications, paralleling industrial standards to prepare students for employment in the manufacturing industry. This training involves completing real world projects for the community or businesses. As a result, manufacturing students and business or community members collaborate to produce projects that involve machining, welding, and metal fabrication. Students work on a variety of product designs, from part machining to project completion, including installations.
Powder coating is available. We also have a CNC plasma table for large patterns and signs, garden art and other projects.
