I moved to Oregon from Mississippi in 2007 after graduating magna cum laude from Mississippi State University with my bachelor's in communications and public relations. As a conservation education and public affairs specialist, I worked with the US Forest Service on Mount Hood for the next 5 years.

After my contract ended, I worked in the PR world as an account executive at a local firm and transitioned into non-profit management, running a small museum on the North Oregon Coast, while earning my masters in teaching.

I have been in North Clackamas for the past 9 years and was previously the PACE Coordinator, and a language arts/electives teacher and volunteer coordinator in Canby School District before my arrival to NClack.

My current work as a social media marketing and special events manager for non-profit Friends of Timberline, and a portrait photography side hustle keep me busy when I'm not camping, traveling, cooking, hiking, and spending time with my family: husband Ryan, two children - Owen (10), Maggie (6), and my two cats (Jasper and Jade).
