Linwood and Sojourner are both Oregon Green Schools! That means we're working to make our schools as environmentally friendly as we can. We have Green School Goals to help get us there. We're doing things like composting food scraps from our school cafeteria, making sure we recycle everything we can, reducing waste by switching to reusable metal silverware, and using rechargeable batteries.
Our Green Team is made up of staff and parents from both schools working together. Green Team members help set our Green School Goals and make those goals a reality. Student leaders in our upper grades help to make our composting program happen by assisting students in all grades to compost food scraps in our cafeteria.
