4-6 Enrichment Camp Descriptions

Enrichment camps are available for students entering 4-6th grade in the 2021.22 school year. Camps are available at Sunnyside & Seth Lewelling Elementary. Elementary camps are available weekly Monday - Thursday morning sessions (9 am-12 pm) or afternoon sessions (1-4 pm).

Brixology Lego Engineering

Brixology sets the foundation for our next generation of makers! Learn about the exciting field of engineering as a Mad Scientist guides you and your team to accomplish engineering-themed projects using LEGO (R) bricks and other materials. Aerospace, structural, water, learn about engineering the Mad Science way!

Rocket Lab - MadScience

3...2...1...Blast Off! This camp is rockets, rockets and more rockets! Build and launch a rocket everyday as you learn all about, you guessed it, rockets! Your child is in for an action-packed week focused entirely on rockets and the physics of rocket flight. Campers will learn the importance of teamwork in launching rockets and will have the opportunity to try their hand at each role.

Secret Agent Lab - MadScience

Look out 007 - the Mad Science Spy Academy is in session! Step into the shoes of a spy in action from decoding messages, to metal detecting and using night vision goggles. Campers will have the opportunity to check out other spy equipment and even create their own edible messages learning how to communicate stealthily just like real spies.

Underground Explorers - MadScience

Learn about archaeology and the techniques scientists use to excavate long-lost cities! Discover ancient civilizations and the tools and artifacts they used in everyday life! Study bone fragments, pottery shards, amber deposits, and fossils to understand what they can tell us about history! What’s more, each class includes a make and take-home project, like a fossil reproduction, an amber time capsule, and coins from around the world!

STEM Expolrations with LEGO®

Level up your engineering skills with Play-Well TEKnologies and tens of thousands of LEGO® parts! Apply real-world concepts in physics, engineering, and architecture through engineer-designed projects such as Belt-Drive Cars, Truss Bridges, Rail Racers, and Pneumatic Forklifts! Design and build as never before, and explore your craziest ideas in a supportive environment.

Jedi Engineering with LEGO®

The Force is strong in this advanced engineering course for young Jedi! Use the force and tens of thousands of LEGO® parts to raise your X-Wing from the Dagobah swamp, challenge the AT-AT walkers on Hoth, and fly the Millennium Falcon through the Kessel Run. Apply real-world concepts in physics, engineering, and architecture while you explore a galaxy, far, far away.

Minecraft Engineering with LEGO®

Bring Minecraft to life using LEGO® parts! Build an Iron Golem, the Nether Portal, and the Ender Dragon. Students will explore real-world concepts in physics, engineering, and architecture while building their favorite Minecraft objects.

Transportation Engineering with LEGO®

Take a double decker bus ride through London, pilot a hovercraft over land and sea, and make important deliveries in a cargo plane. Learn about STEM concepts as we explore the various ways that we transport goods and people from place to place.

Pokemon Engineering with LEGO®

Start your training in Pallet Town and expand your Pokedex as you collect your favorite Pokemon with LEGO materials. Surf with Blastoise, challenge Team Rocket, and earn badges from gym leaders on your way to the Pokemon League. Design and build as never before and explore your craziest ideas while learning about STEM concepts.

Chess for Success

Chess for Success Day Camps create ways for children to grow and learn through outdoor play, chess instruction, pro-social peer interaction, and exploration. Chess for Success camps offer ways for children to nurture their relationships with themselves, peers, and trusted adults. Daily activities vary and will include chess instruction and match play, small group games, open-ended art and nature crafts, community and team-building games and activities.

Outta This World Art Camp

Get ready to be blasted into creativity with this fun space art camp! We'll be painting and creating crafts inspired by all the things you would find in space. We'll make alien crafts, spaceships, paint planets, make a rocket and so many more out of this world crafts that your kiddo is sure to have a blast!

Superhero Art Camp

It's a Bird, it's a plane, no.....wait, it is ART! Bring your superpowers to this art camp and create something exciting! We will be painting superhero canvas paintings, making superhero masks, painting superhero ceramic, creating your own mini-comic, and so much more! Let's be superheroes together through art!

Fairytale Art Camp

Princesses, knights, frogs, dragons, and all things enchanted is the theme of this camp! We'll create our own fairytale names, paint a dragon, make our own castle, paint a ceramic rainbow box, make crowns, and more! We'll also write and illustrate our own fairytale stories! If your kiddo has an imagination, then this is the camp for them!

Day at the Beach Art Camp

We will create all the things we love about the beach in our art! We will color our own beach balls, make a crab hat, paint sea ceramic sea creatures, make a sandcastle frame, create a beachball mosaic, make salt coral, and paint a shark on canvas! You won't want to miss a day at the beach with us!

Happy Campers Art Camp

We will spend the week making art that is inspired by the outdoors. We will paint a birdhouse, learn about animal tracks, make s’mores books, paint a paddleboat, make bug crafts, and color our own iron-on patches. Your kids are sure to love this creative outdoorsy art camp.

Zany Zoo Art Camp

Register your little ones for our zany zoo art camp! We'll create arts and crafts all inspired by animals and all things from the zoo! Kids will be the zookeeper of all the zany animal crafts they create. We'll make our own masks, paint ceramic animals, paint a monkey on canvas, and so much more!

Multi-Sports Camp with i9

Sports camps will take place outdoors, and include flag football, basketball, soccer, lacrosse, baseball, whiffle ball, kickball, and MUCH MORE! i9 Sports provides a youth sports experience unlike any other, teaching the importance of good sportsmanship on the field and in life.

Musical Theatre

Have fun and build self-confidence as you Sing, Move and Perform to Music. During our week together you will explore different ways to express yourself to music with movement and drama. You will discover the world of improvisation in theater as well as learning how to use scripted materials. We will play games, sing, act, play instruments, perform, dance, and move and groove to all kinds of music together.
