Scales- Directors will select 2 from the scale sheet at the audition.

Part 2
Jazz excerpt Measures 1-31 with the recorded accompaniment track. Play once through solo as written. Additional points earned if you can play through a second time using appropriate comping different from the written version.

Part 3

Improvised Blues in the Key of Eb

Drumset

Part 1

Chart Excerpts- Perform the excerpts demonstrating appropriate groove/style. Make sure to "set up" ensemble figures as indicated. Reference recordings are provided for practice only. Students will perform without accompaniment in the audition.
