What is MASH?

Moving All Kids to Success and Health (MASH) is a school district partner program for the provision of specially designed instruction (SDI) and materials through a social, emotional, and behavioral lens. We provide a therapy space for families and students to receive counseling, as well as both synchronous and asynchronous instruction. Your MASH team includes a National Board Certified Teacher, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, a Registered Behavior Technician, and a Social Worker. Together, with your child's case manager, our desired year-end outcomes include improved functional communication, improved tolerance for work demands and social interactions, improved compliance in home and school settings, and remediate socially significant problematic behaviors at home and at school.

Social Emotional Learning (SEL) is broadly understood as a process through which people build awareness and skills in managing emotions, setting goals, establishing relationships, and making responsible decisions that support success in school and in life. SEL supports education equity in multiple ways: emphasizing whole-child development, drawing attention to the social nature of learning, advancing the belief that all children can learn, developing young people's skills to navigate social contexts, and improving relationships between students and educators- a key protective factor for all students.
