Teachers As Artists: Region 6 Faculty Art Exhibit
Exhibit Host: Russell Sage College Department of Art and Extended Media, Little Gallery
NOTE: artists/teachers submitting work for consideration must be region 6 members of New York State Art Teachers Association.
Teachers as Artists showcases work in all media by current and retired K-12 art teachers from Region 6 of the NYS Art Teachers Association that includes Albany, Columbia, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie, Warren and Washington counties. The exhibition is in collaboration with Capital Area Art Supervisors, whose mission is to ensure all K-12 visual arts education “fosters personal growth, community involvement, and social and career development.”
You will be informed of your inclusion in the exhibition by Oct 15, 2021 If your work is accepted, please note the following dates:
Exhibition dates:
Drop off artwork: from 3 - 5 p.m. at the Little gallery, Russell Sage Albany Campus
Artist Reception: Friday, November 5, 2021 from 4 - 6 p.m. in the Little Gallery
Artwork Pick-up:
All work must be clearly labeled with your name and the title of your piece. Work will not be accepted after
All work must be exhibition ready - meaning ready to hang or be professionally displayed. Framed artwork is preferred and framing will not be provided by the college. Ready-to-hang paintings framed or mounted works on paper, photographs, or stand-alone sculptures are acceptable. Please ensure that all works to be hung are provided with d-rings, wires or cleats - ‘saw tooth’ hangers are NOT acceptable.

Studio Time: Call for Submissions!
Accepting submissions for Studio Time: Artists/Teachers of the Capital District from 8 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26 until 11:45 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19, 2019.

Artist Reception: Thursday, Nov 7, 2019 from 4 - 6 p.m. in the Teaching Gallery
Artwork Pick-up: Tuesday Dec 10, 2019 from 3 - 5 p.m. in the Teaching Gallery
NOTE: If you choose to ship your work, it must include pre-paid return postage and be sure to allow ample time for your work to arrive before Tuesday, Oct. 29. We cannot accept late work.
