How to Help Your Child at Home

You can sign up for a parent/guardian account for your student's Google Classroom. As a guardian, you can receive email summaries showing your student’s progress in classroom.

Guardian email summaries include:

  • Missing work—Work that’s late at the time the email was sent

  • Upcoming work—Work that’s due today and tomorrow (for daily emails) or work that’s due in the upcoming week (for weekly emails)

  • Class activity—Announcements, assignments, and questions recently posted by teachers

Practice/Learn the Content

High school content can be challenging for parents and students alike, but there are resources available to help parents review the content and help their students. We've listed some of our favorites below:

  • Khan Academy - Created by experts, Khan Academy’s library of trusted, standards-aligned practice and lessons covers math K-12 through early college, grammar, science, history, AP®, SAT®, and more. It’s all free

  • Duolinguo - This site and app are designed to help your student with language learning.
