Gould is a 1 to 1 school where each student is assigned a Chromebook at the beginning of the year. They are also given the privilege of bringing their device home with them so that everyone has equal access to resources and assignments.
With this privilege also comes some responsibility. Take a look at what we expect from our students below.
Every Gould student is responsible for keeping their device charged. They should do this nightly so that their Chromebook is ready for instruction each and every day! Students WILL NOT have the opportunity to charge their device through out the day if it runs out of battery. Please make sure they keep their charger in their case.
Chromebooks must stay in their case when transporting them. Students are not permitted to carry them in their hands as they travel from class to class. In addition, the device should not be placed in their book bag without the case on it.
This topic is woven into our instructional lessons throughout the year but please know students may lose the privilege of using their device if they are not demonstrating responsible digital citizenship. For example, playing games/off task during instructional time, inappropriate use inside or outside of school hours, or not caring for their device.
