NCACDA Grants and Scholarships is pleased to announce a Young Professional Scholarship for the 2026-27 academic year.
Choral conductors in their first three years of teaching or in another conducting position (church or community chorus) can receive up to $400 to attend the NCACDA State Conference in Asheville this October. Funds will be reimbursed upon submission of receipts for necessary expenses, such as registration, accommodation, mileage, and meals (no alcohol).

To encourage and enable participation in NC ACDA and ACDA sponsored events. Examples include, but are not limited to, underwriting expenses for individuals or ensembles to perform at NC ACDA state-sponsored events; individuals to attend state, regional, or national sponsored events.
An individual submitting an application must be a current professional or student member in ACDA with an NC ACDA state affiliation
Completed application and budget
Persons who receive a grant are not eligible to apply for 5 years
NC ACDA Board will set application deadlines for specific events
Applications will be reviewed on January 15, April 15, August 15, and October 15
Award amounts will not exceed $1000.00
Grant applicant should not expect the project or event to be fully funded by NC ACDA
Applicants will be informed of their status by the NC ACDA President
Applications are submitted to the chair of the Grants and Scholarships committee
Applications are reviewed by the NC ACDA Grants & Scholarship Committee. Recommendations are then made to the NC ACDA Executive Committee for final approval.
Grant award payment is made to the sponsoring organization rather than the individual.
