This week we will begin our phonograms. Our literacy program focuses on the letter sounds, not the names. We will slowly go through all the lowercase with these phonogram sounds and proper writing, then we will go back to attach the name and uppercase. This process will take us into November. Please have your child practice/show you the stroke each day while saying all the sounds that it makes. When we can write confidently, being able to blend words into writing comes easier because there isn't the concentration of how to form the phonogram.
SPIRIT DAY is Friday, September 3, 2026
This is a day to show Archer/Ascent school spirit. On spirit days, students are allowed to wear an Archer or Ascent top with normal uniform bottoms. If you are interested in purchasing a shirt, you can find the link for Merch Masters in the Arrow each week =)
