ABOUT ME

Hi! My name is Dawn Ranz and I am thrilled to be your child's kindergarten teacher this year. I graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and a master's degree in Reading. I taught kindergarten for six years before having children and then took several years off to be at home with them when they were young. Once they all entered elementary school, I started teaching at Harmony Preschool in the PreK classroom for the last two years. I am so excited to be back in the kindergarten classroom and feel so blessed that it is at such a virtuous, high-quality school.

EDUCATION PHILOSOPHY

I believe that education truly needs to be a partnership with parents. To fully develop a virtuous and well-rounded child, there needs to be transparent communication and a trusting partnership where we all work to educate the mind and should together. And to be in the kindergarten classroom is such a joy for me to be a part of your child's first educational experience.

WHAT I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO

I am so excited to be back into the kindergarten classroom this year, truly my favorite grade to teach and watch the "aha" moments as they develop all throughout the year.
