At Home Games to Play During Covid-19
Minute To Win It games are party favorites, but you don’t need a big group of people to play them. These games involve several different physical challenges that each must be completed in 1 minute. Here are a few examples of one-minute challenges you can try.
Stack pennies on top of one another. If any fall, you must start over. Whoever has the tallest stack at the end of 1 minute wins.
Place a cookie on your forehead. You have 1 minute to move the cookie down to your mouth without using your hands.
Using only your nose, you must push a ball across the floor, from one end of the room to the other in under a minute.
Tie an empty Kleenex box around your waist and fill it with ping pong balls. You have 1 minute to shake all of the ping pong balls out of the box without using your hands.
In 1 minute, move as many mini marshmallows from one cup to another using only chopsticks.

Super soft and squishy homemade play dough! Easy recipe that doesn't require cooking. So easy kids can make it themselves,
Prep Time10 minutes
Total Time10 minutes
Servings 1 batch
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup fine table salt (I like to blend it to a powder first. See note)
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/2 tablespoon vegetable oil
1/2 cup boiling water
Food coloring (I use about 15-20 drops for bold colors and half for pastels)
In a plastic bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and cream of tartar.
Make a well in the center of the bowl and add vegetable oil, boiling water and food coloring.
Using a rubber spatula, stir until a dough forms, add a little bit more flour if needed. (It's ok to add in more food coloring at this point if needed just be sure to really work it into the dough)
When the dough is cool enough to touch, use your hands to further incorporate the flour and knead until all flour in incorporated and dough is soft and uniform in color.( wear latex gloves if desired)
Let play dough cool completely before playing with it.
When you are ready to play with the play dough, wash your hands and have fun!
Store the play dough in a sandwich bag and place the sandwich bags in an air-tight food storage container. Store room temperature, no need to refrigerate.
Create Your Own Mount Rushmore
George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln are depicted on Mount Rushmore which is located in South Dakota. Not all kids will get to see Mount Rushmore face to face, but they can have lots of fun putting the faces of four of our founding fathers on their own mountain using play dough and coins in this Presidents Day craft.
– One quarter
– One nickel
– One penny
– One dime
– Brown clay or brown Play Dough
Mount Rushmore is famous because four of our presidents have their likeness in stone carved onto the mountain. They are George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln. We don’t have an American coin representing Theodore Roosevelt, so in our version we will honor another Roosevelt ““ Franklin Delano Roosevelt and will use a Franklin Roosevelt coin its place.
– Build a clay or Play Dough model of Mount Rushmore. It is not necessary to make the trees.
– Using the picture as a guide, press the penny (Lincoln) into the clay at the top of the mountain. Next to the penny press the dime (Theodore Roosevelt). Next to the dime press the nickel (Jefferson). Next is the quarter (George Washington). Be sure the faces on the coins are facing out.
In some countries, those who hold positions of authority do not act in the best interests of their people. But in our country we have a democratic system that allows us to choose our leaders. When we honor our founding fathers, we do so because it was through their dedication to making our country free, for creating the Bill of Rights, and creating a Constitution that guarantees us freedom of speech, and worship.
