Each respective council operates as a subsidiary of the school's student council. Within each respective class, a group of elected and volunteer students work together to generate funds to offset the cost of senior related events - prom, senior sunset, etc. - while providing assistance in school affairs and activities, creating opportunities for student experience in leadership, and strengthening student, faculty, and community relations.
Hey everyone:) I’m Diana De La Luz, your Senior class president. I have been part of our class council since freshman year and will be looking forward to continuing working with our class council and advisors. Outside of class council I am an active member of NHS, Speech & Debate, Volleyball, and also joining our school student council to work together alongside them for upcoming events. I am hoping to make our senior year as memorable as possible for our last upcoming school for the class of 2023. You can come forward to me with any suggestions and ideas to create interactive relationships. Thank you for putting the effort into voting and choosing me as your class president, let’s have a great year!!
Hi Zebras! As your Class Vice President, I am committed to making our senior year as Zebras one to remember. Initially, I served our class as the social media manager and most recently, I've been the Vice President. I’m so excited to continue to plan events and activities for our senior year. Outside of Student Council, I'm also a member of the National Honors Society, Civic League, Rutgers Future Scholars, Speech and Debate, Big Brother Big Sister, Play it Smart, Girls Volleyball, Play Unified, and AVID. The majority of my free time is spent reading and crocheting. I also dedicate weekends volunteering at various school events and babysitting some of my campers from the summer. I am determined to work alongside the President and the rest of the Student Council in making important decisions for our school. I'm always open to hearing from you, so please do not hesitate to reach out!
Hi, my name is Hailey Merino and I’m excited to be your class of 2023 treasurer for the 2022-2023 school year. As a rising Senior, I have been a part of Class Council since freshman year, but have had the privilege to be a member of Student Council this year. I have previously been a class representative in 2019-2020 and class treasurer in 2021. This year I’m looking forward to working with the Student Council to plan and host memorable events and create long lasting memories. Outside of Student Council I am also a member of NHS, Speech and Debate, and many more. Aside from school I also enjoy spending time reading and drawing. Thank you for this opportunity - I’m looking forward to working with the fellow council to bring memorable events to New Brunswick High School.
Hello everyone, I’m Anthony Vasquez and I am your social media manager for the Class of 2023. My job is to make sure our public image is squeaky clean through exquisite Instagram posts and captivating speeches and newsletters. Before taking office, I used to be the stand-in for a non-existent Mr. Junior. In other words, I am very qualified for this position. Anyway, my main goal this year is to get students to interact with the council that governs them. I want to bridge the gap between the noble and the commoners. It all starts with a like on an Instagram post. Enough about the job, I’m an amusing, easy-going, and determined personality who loves making videos, Taylor Swift, and above all, staying professional. The suit and smile say it all. To close out, I am glad to be a part of this team of leaders and hope to lead all of you to a better place. Or, at the very least, make it seem like we led you to a better place because that’s what I’m in charge of.
