Meet The Advisors
Joseph Dziuba - Student Council
Mr. Joseph Dziuba is steadily approaching the decade mark at Zebra Nation. Aside from being a mathematics teacher during the daytime, Coach Dziuba also advises the Peer Leadership Program, coaches the Varsity Boys Soccer Team, and teaches courses in Digital Leadership at Rutgers University. Coach Dziuba is a bow-tie connoisseur, having started the #BowTieTuesday trend within the halls of Zebra Nation. In the rest of his free time, you can find him at the weight room working out, at home learning how to fix his home, or on the sidelines cheering on the Zebras!
Lily Foster
Class of 2024
Hello! My name is LilyAnn Foster. I am a physics teacher at New Brunswick High School and one of the advisors for the Class of 2024. I have been teaching at the high school for 5 years now and have loved every year. I attended Rutgers University here in New Brunswick prior to teaching in the district. Aside from teaching and advising, I am also a member of the crochet club because I have always wanted to learn. When I'm home you can catch me walking my dog, crocheting a blanket or watching Grey's Anatomy. I am excited to continue working with the Student Council and the Class of 2024 to build a better sense of community and excitement in the high school. I am so happy to be back in person this year and cannot wait for the next!
Jessenia Acuna
Class of 2024
Hola! My name is Jessenia Acuna and I am the co-advisor for class of 2024. This is my third year as a member of Zebra nation! I teach ESL, Bilingual Language arts. and Bilingual AVID. Besides my work with the Class of 2024, I wholeheartedly enjoy working in tandem with the student council. Outside of school you can find me cuddling with my dog watching any variety of crime shows or traveling! I love to visit new countries and learn more about their culture.
Alya Bukhari
Class of 2025
Ms. Alya Bukhari is an enthusiastic new member of our Zebra family! She has a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and a Masters degree in Education from Rutgers, Graduate School of Education. Before joining Zebra Nation, she worked as a student teacher and as a substitute teacher at NBHS teaching Algebra I and Algebra II. Aside from teaching math, Ms. Bukhari loves to bake but she does not bake “pi”es (so unfortunate for a math teacher). This bodes well for her students and the Class of 2025 who will definitely get a chance to taste these treats! Ms. Bukhari loves to read, crochets and enjoys sports including biking, hiking, kayaking. She is also an avid traveler and can’t wait to share her travel stories with her students. But most of all Ms. Bukhari loves her kitty -- Kiwi. She is happy to show anyone the Kiwi photo album on her phone!

In addition to teaching and advising, I am also the head coach for our Girls and Boys Volleyball teams. In the summers I work at a travel camp with third and fourth graders. Joseph Wong
Class of 2026
Greetings and salutations! My name is Joseph Wong and I am a co-advisor for the Class of 2026. I teach Physics and also co-advise the STEM Club. I like "making things", whether it's food, light-up origami, stuffed animals, or wind tunnels and I like messing around to see how things work even more (For Science! of course). Outside of that, you'll most likely catch me playing what's probably a borderline unhealthy amount of video games and practicing kendo (Japanese fencing).
