Ms. Gonzalez is a passionate educator and Library Media Specialist who loves helping students become curious, confident, and independent learners. With experience working in elementary, high school, academic, and public libraries, she brings a wide range of experience to her work with students and teachers.
She enjoys helping students with research, information and media literacy, technology, and finding the perfect book. She has a particular love for science fiction and fantasy and believes that a great book can open the door to a new idea, a new perspective, or an entirely new world.
Ms. Gonzalez is also a writer, presenter, designer, and lifelong learner. She has written and presented on topics related to libraries, education, technology, and literacy, and enjoys finding creative ways to bring these interests into the library.
Outside of school, Ms. Gonzalez enjoys reading, gaming, creating, performing, and exploring all things science fiction and fantasy. She has also spent many years performing in musical theater, opera, and choral music.
Ms. Gonzalez believes the library should be a place where every student feels welcome—a place to read, explore, question, create, discover, and be themselves.
