VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Volunteers at New Beginnings play a vital role in the community to further the success of men who are breaking free from drug addiction and alcoholism.  You provide a healthy, supportive influence to our men on their journey to reintegrate back into healthy living.   Here are some ways you can partner with us.  

Church, Community or Family Small Group

Provide a home cooked meal and spend a dinner with our guys.  Cook the meal at home or use our commercial kitchen to prepare and serve a meal to enjoy with our men. 

Partner with us for an all-hands work day around our facility.  We could be cleaning, painting, doing light construction or maintenance and landscaping.  Handyman services always welcome. 

Provide an interactive activity for our men to participate in.  It could be learning a skill such as car maintenance, cooking, an art project or other life skills. 

Individuals

Sponsors

Our men participate in the 12-step recovery process and need sponsors.  Are you someone who has several years of sobriety, know the 12-steps well and would like to come alongside one of our men?

Teachers

We have a program called Fit For Service that provides life-skill training classes.  Are you qualified to teach classes about Anger Management, Boundaries, Servant Leadership, Financial Literacy or other areas that can help our men grow and learn? 

Can you lead a Bible Study or a introduce a personal growth and development study or tool?

Mentors

Many of our men are at the beginning of their work lives or careers.  Are you a man who could share your lived experience with family, work, recreation or other areas of life that could support and encourage a man on his journey?

Drivers

We provide transportation to overcome the major barriers that exist for individuals who cannot drive or who do not have a vehicle.  Could you spare 2-3 hours or more per week to drive our van to transport men to work, medical appointments, probation appointments and other vital appointments?  Shifts available mornings and afternoons.
