mEET mRS. zIMMERMAN

Hello everyone! My name is Mrs. Zimmerman and I will be your child's 6th grade math teacher this school year! This is my 12th year of my teaching career and my 2nd year at North Boone Upper Elementary School. Throughout the last 12 years I have taught 6th grade math, 7th grade math, 7th grade social studies and 8th grade social studies! However, my favorite has been 6th grade math! 😉

I live in Clinton, WI and live with my husband, my two sons, Daxton (4) and Wesley (2), and my French Bulldog named Louie!

I am excited for another great year and can't wait to see the progress and fun that we have in 6th grade math this year!

What's Happening in 6th Grade Math During May?

We are finishing up Module 10, which focused on Statistics and Data Displays with a "Data and Survey" project in class. Students chose a statistical question and surveyed their classmates and reported their data on all the different data displays that we learned throughout Module 10.

We will be MAP testing on May 6th and May 7th.

Following MAP testing, we will be circling back to Module 8 and 9, which will focus on area, surface area, and volume to finish the school year out!

Continue to work with your students at home on their IXL MAP SKILL PLANS to prepare as best as we can to reach those MAP goals! Students are working hard daily in class to build a strong understanding of these topics!
