Any work that is submitted AFTER 2:45 pm on the due date in POWER SCHOOL.
Can be turned in, without penalty, until the day of the module test in POWER SCHOOL or the end of the quarter, whichever is first
Homework is a big part of the learning process. Homework is meant to practice what is being covered in class. Although homework will not always be graded, it is expected that your child do homework at home consistently to practice what was taught in class. This is to ensure that your child has a thorough understanding of the problems as we collaborate in class the following day on the next lesson.
Reveal online assignments and various handouts will be assigned.
The responsibility of setting up a time to make up missed classwork lies with the student. Any homework or assessments due will go in power school as a zero and will change once the student completes the work and emails me to let me know it is done. There is one extra day for each excused absence.
One email will be sent to each absent student, usually, by 3:30pm that will give what was done in class, what to do for homework, video tutorials if needed, and how to make up any necessary work.
Any paper copies of classwork will be in the absent folder on the bulletin board. It is up to the student to check it the day s/he returns.
Any absent work turns into late work after one day for each day missed. The student will have until the end of the module to turn it in without penalty, per the late work policy.
Classwork is done in class and is not to go home. I want to be able to see how successful the student is without outside assistance.
Bellwork - This is done in the first 5 minutes of class and cannot be done after that. Students must be on time and on task when entering the classroom.
IXLs - These are the one exception. Students will have time to start in class but will need to finish by 2:45 the next day.
There will be in class activities that are graded based on lessons that have been previously learned. These activities include Gimkit, Kahoot, EdPuzzles, Scavenger Hunts, etc.

It is in the student's best interest to use the bathroom during passing time. Do not come to my room first. Students should go straight to the bathroom and then to my room. Time is wasted when you are backtracking.
Bathroom use will not be allowed during math instruction time, unless it is an emergency.
Bathroom passes will be allowed during worktime. Student must fill out the e-hall pass and ask for permission.
You can help your child in several ways:
Know what your child’s assignments are by checking their agenda daily. This page is filled out in class daily.
Check my teacher website daily.
Have your child share his or her math notes with you, showing you what has been recorded as we progress through the content. Ask your child to explain why these ideas are important.
Look over completed work (homework, quizzes, and tests) and make sure that errors have been corrected.
Visit my links page to view our textbook online and many other helpful resources.
Parents are encouraged to check Power School on a weekly basis to stay informed of your child's progress.
