Here is a text to enjoy with your child. Please tell your child when they don't know the word.
These words can be looked at in more depth: milk, food, table, fish, bench, ice cream.
For these words, look for clues in the picture ( for example, you will see a fish) and match this up with the word, and say " get your mouth ready for the first sound."
For fish say '/f/' .Your child will then probably say fish. Then you say:" I think it is too! Let's read the sounds we see to check." Say to your child: "We can stretch it out to check ( make the letter sounds, say them slowly) f..i..s..h. Awesome work we read fish. "
Pete the Cat is so cool. He has NEW shoes.
He loves shoes. Do you? If you don't, all good... I do!!
