At Nazareth Academy, Gospel Service is an opportunity to work for unity with God and one another. It is not simply volunteer work. Inspired by the Congregation of St. Joseph, students are called to build relationships, respond to real human needs, care for creation, and reflect on how service shapes their values & Jesus' mission of unity.
We encourage students, not to simply complete hours, but to seek opportunities that challenge them to grow in empathy, encounter, solidarity, justice, compassion, faith.

Nazareth Academy’s Gospel Service Program is named in honor of Sister Pat Bergen, CSJ, a distinguished alumna of the Class of 1963. Sister Pat’s life work embodies empathy and the belief that all life is connected through God.
