Moodle 101

Moodle Dashboard Orientation

You will be taken to the user Dashboard when you log in using your MyNaz username and password.  

(1)     DashboardThe dashboard serves as your personal home page and provides access to courses, as well as a number of links and resources. Click Dashboard as seen in the stagnant header anywhere in Moodle to return the user to this home page.

(2)     External Links: Find links to campus resources and technology support sites using these drop-down menus

(3)     Account Settings: Log out of Moodle and update user profiles.

(4)     Course overview block: Displays enrolled course links in different formats using the filter options.

(5)     Latest news block: Displays important administrator announcements relating to Moodle. 

(6)     Timeline block: Displays dues for upcoming Moodle course activities.

(7)     Moodle Help Resources: The help resources block provides access to the faculty support site. This website includes written tutorials and videos on many commonly used Moodle processes.

(8) Course Categories block: Displays a full list of links for all enrolled courses.  For faculty, blue links are visible to students and gray course links are only visible to the instructor. 

(9) Course Evaluations block: The link provides click access to the college’s course evaluation system.  Faculty will be able to monitor active surveys and review reports (when available).

(10) Self-Enrollable Courses blockThe block offers links to lists of self-enrollable courses by category. These courses are open to all Nazareth College Moodle users; if you would like your course listed here, please contact the administrator.

(11) Infobase Learning Cloud Access: Nazareth College has personalized access to thousands of video tutorials on various technology applications through Infobase Learning Cloud! Infobase is a fantastic database of self-help resources; sign in using your MyNaz username and password.
