Adding a Folder

Moodle allows you to organize files on the course page using a folder resource.  Clicking on this folder in the course will expand the folder to display the individual files.

Step 1: Click the switch to turn on editing mode.

Step 2: Click +Add an activity or resource under the appropriate topic section.

Step 3: Scroll down to Resources within the pop-up menu and select Folder.

Step 4: Click the Add button. 

Step 5: General

a. Enter the file name in the Name field.

b. If desired, enter details in the Description field.

Step 7: Click the files field to add files or drag and drop files in to the field.

Step 8: Scroll to the bottom and click Save and return to course when finished.

The folder will then appear in the course. Clicking the folder will provide access to the file contents.
