Adding a BNC Course Materials Link in Moodle

Through the Day One. Books Done textbook rental/digital content program, you can set up a direct link to digital course materials available through the Barnes and Noble Colleges (BNC) online portal. Follow the steps below. If you have online courseware provided through a publisher, this will need to be set up as an additional link. See also: Adding Access Pearson or other Publisher Courseware links to Moodle.

From your course home page in Moodle, turn on the Edit Mode toggle button, located in the upper-right corner.

In the section where you would like to add the digital, BNC Course Materials link, click on Add an activity or resource.

From the Activities tab, click on the External Tool.

A. For Activity name, be sure to title it, "Course Materials"
B. From the Preconfigured tool dropdown menu, select "Course Materials".

Click on Save and return to course.

To Complete the Mapping Process: Click on the digital BNC Course Materials link, which will appear on your Moodle course page in the section you chose (A). This will open the BNC online portal (B) within your course and finish the mapping process between them.

💡IMPORTANT: Instructors must click on the Course Materials link to complete the mapping process.
