NRHS Encourages all Students to Give Back to their Communities. NRHS recognizes those students in grades 9-12 for their documented participation in community service activities. There are two ways to earn recognition at NRHS:
A student must complete a minimum of 40 hours of documented volunteerism each year for 4 years to earn a silver cord to be worn at graduation.
A student must complete 100 hours of documented volunteerism in one school year to earn a silver cord and a brick in the NRHS Wall of Honor.
