In addition to children with special needs, the early childhood program provides a preschool experience for children who do not have special needs ... our Community Friends. On Open House is held on the first Friday in March for prospective families to visit our classrooms, meet our teachers and to pick up registration packets. We do not take accept applications or registrations prior to our Open House in March. Registration packets can also be obtained by contacting the NIP office and are available in March for the following school year.
Community Friends apply to the program by completing the registration packet. Placement is made on first come/first served basis, and, if needed, a lottery process. Though every attempt is made to accommodate family preference, final placement decisions are made with consideration of our students having special needs.
Community Friends must be toilet trained and age 3 by September 1st to participate in the program. Families are responsible to transport their children.
Tuition is $160.00/mo. A sliding scale is available for families who qualify based on income. Please contact the NIP office for more information.
