What is classcraft

Classcraft is a new, game-based approach to teaching. It’s designed to encourage participation, good behavior, and 21st-century skills like collaboration. Increasing your child’s engagement with their lessons. Everything they learn in class stays the same, but they get to have a little fun each day!

Classcraft creates an environment where students are creating an avatar and working with other peers to complete levels. The students can level up and gain more special "powers" to support their learning. The concept is that the game-based learning will engage students in their academic learning.

The game consists of quests that students will conquer that have been assigned by the teacher. The students can earn points, new gear, and pets throughout the quests. Teachers can get notifications sent to them based on level of play and interaction with each quest.

Parents can be involved through the parent app. This can give parents a glimpse into the learning that is happening at school while also encouraging some game play to transfer to home.
