What you will be studying in the upcoming Global Digital Citizenship Modules
A global citizen sees the world as a community and is concerned with participation and values towards the planet. The world is seen as an interconnected community. A digital citizen is one who adheres to the guidelines that govern "ethical" and "responsible" use of technology. They act responsibly in all relationships and interactions in the digital world. In this online community of practice, our goal is to become one within the global digital community to take on the injustices and inequalities that exist when others do not have equitable access or might need assistive technologies. We will be informed about what to do and how to move forward with, through the analysis of already established policies governing the use of technologies for digital literacy. Other areas covered in this course included topics in civil discourse, safe, healthy, legal and ethical use; of technology, global awareness and culturally responsive teaching. Lastly, we will further our understanding of social-emotional learning and how it has an impact on the cognitive processes. We aim for you as a learner to be cognizant of these timely issues and look forward to your successful completion of the works in the upcoming modules. Looking forward to a productive course.
All participation is voluntary. With that being said, we would like for you to take a few moments before your journey begins to complete a very short survey, found here.
