There are three tools that we use for adapting existing lesson plans that we find in the wild.
The first is a modified version of the Culturally Responsive Assessment of Indigneous Schooling (CRAIS) Tool. This rubric allows teachers to assess how culturally responsive existing curricula and lesson plans are for Native students.
The second are the Computer Science Teaching Association (CSTA) Standards for CS/CT learning objectives.
The second is the Culturally Responsive Computer Science (CRCS) Lesson Adaptation Worksheet, which guides teachers on ways that they can modify a lesson while preserving the CS learning objectives.
