CLASS OVERVIEW

Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year! I am very excited to be your child’s teacher this year! This year is going to be an exciting and engaging year for both me and your child. Your student will partake in many hands-on academic activities that will allow them to expand their educational outlook. Our classroom will be mostly student centered, allowing your child the opportunity to learn through personal experience while I guide them along their learning journey. I look forward to teaching your student reading and writing skills and providing students with the appropriate strategies needed in order to become the best readers and writers they can be. We will also be working diligently in our math centers, with the use of manipulatives as well as integrated math lessons which will encourage critical thinking skills. Here at Western Peaks we utilize the Falcon Family Behavior and Intervention (FFBI) method which is a set of ideas and tools that schools use to improve the behavior of students. A key component for a successful school year includes open communication between parent/guardian and teacher. By working together, we can ensure that each child receives a fulfilling learning experience. This year is going to be a wonderful, thrilling adventure full of new ideas and valuable experiences.
