Before I spent any time at a university, I spent much of my time reading whatever book I could get my hands on. Reading served as my "informal" education and has had an impact on my life equal to what I have experienced in college.

I picked this book up in the summer of 2019 and almost read through it in one sitting. Tara's writing ability immerses the reader in her journey from a survivalist upbringing to becoming a PhD recipient at Cambridge. I could not recommend it enough!
