Completely Cardboard
I worked with Scott Hardman, Rebekah Wucinich, Andrew Ramos, and Lauren Larrien to create a chair that had a dual purpose of a seat and shelter. The chair had to be 100% built with cardboard. Our group decided that our target user would be vacationers who go to the beach. Since we determined our target user and criteria for the chair, we began to start sketching some ideas. Each person from our group had three sketches of the chair, so we had fifteen sketches total to choose from. We used a decision matrix to decide which design to go with for the project. After determining the design to go with, we constructed a schedule so that we could stay on track with time. We had five days planned out in advance. Each person in my group contributed greatly to this project. Over the weekend, we met at Scott's house and began to construct the chair. We spent hours building the chair and it's components. We ran into some minor problems during the process, but my team managed to make adjustments. Our final product for this project was better than I expected. I was so fortunate to have worked with creative individuals who were willing to work together as a team and evenly contribute.
