We would like to invite researchers, students, and practitioners of all experience levels to join us in a workshop on the union of situated play and mobile crowdsensing. This workshop may be particularly interesting to those involved in serious games, computer supported collaborative work, play-space research, and crowdsourcing research. In this workshop, we will engage in place-based play, ideating and discussing design concepts for creating playful mobile crowdsensing experiences. Participants will not only have the opportunity to design engaging play potentials, but learn about how they could integrate Situated Play Design and mobile crowdsensing into their own work. To apply for this workshop, we request that those interested complete and submit our worksheet included in our official call, reflecting on their own lived playful experiences. This will be a long workshop, taking place over a full day sessions during the DIS conference.
Theme 1: Sustaining Mobile Crowdsensing through Play
