🔒 Choonz Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the Choonz mobile application (the "App"), a Trusted Web Activity (TWA) designed exclusively for offline music playback and customization.

1. Data Collection and Usage

A. No Personal Data Collection by the App

Choonz is fundamentally an offline, local media player. We do not collect, store, transmit, or process any personally identifiable information (PII) from your use of the App, such as your name, email address, location, or device identifiers (e.g., advertising ID).

B. Local Storage and File Access

All user-related data is stored only on your device. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible by Choonz developers, servers, or any third party.

• Music Library Data: All data related to your music library, including file paths, playlists, visualizer preferences, ringtone clips, and playback settings, is stored locally in your device's internal database.

• Storage Permission: The App requires Storage Permission (e.g., READ_MEDIA_AUDIO or legacy READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE) to scan and access the locally stored audio files (MP3s, WAVs, etc.) that you explicitly select for import. This access is used solely for offline playback and library management.

C. Microphone Access for Ringtone Studio

The App requests microphone permission only if the user chooses to use the Ringtone Studio's "Record" feature.

• The audio recorded via the microphone is processed locally on your device and stored as a file for the user to export.

• This audio data is never accessed, stored, or transmitted by Choonz developers or any third-party service.

D. Data Handled by the Underlying Android Platform

The App is wrapped using a Trusted Web Activity (TWA) framework. The underlying Android operating system and Google Play Services automatically collect certain diagnostic and anonymous data for their own services, independent of Choonz. This may include:

• Crash Logs: Information related to App stability and crashes (e.g., stack traces, device model).

• Performance Data: Anonymous metrics like session duration and device characteristics.

This data is collected and managed by Google under their respective terms and is not collected, processed, or controlled by Choonz.

2. Third-Party Services and Links

A. Legal Music Directory The App includes a feature (the "Legal Music Directory") which provides external links to third-party websites offering legally free music. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these external sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit before providing them with information.

3. Children's Privacy

Choonz is not directed at children under the age of 13. Given that we do not collect any personal information, we have no knowledge of a user's age. If we learn that we have inadvertently received personal information from a child under 13, we will delete that information immediately.

4. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the App or on our official website.
