Birthday Policy 

At Star Academy, we promote health and nutrition for our students and staff, and we also 

have many students with a variety of food allergies who are unable to eat the treats. Birthday treats are

not allowed at school. If you would like to do something special on that day for your child, we invite you

to donate a book to our classroom or school library. You could even come read it to the class! Please do

not send goodie bags or other items. In addition, many families choose to celebrate special occasions

(birthdays, promotions, etc.) with balloons. Unfortunately, they create a hazard with our fire system and

are not allowed at school at any time.
