About Mrs. Strazzo
I grew up in San Luis Obispo, CA. I attended UC Davis, graduating with honors with a B.S. in Psychology and minors in Math and Education, a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential with a Single Subject Authorization in Math, and an M.A. in Education. My M.A. research focused on using journaling in math and science instruction to increase students' abilities to explain their thinking and ask questions.
I love to spend my free time building Legos with my husband (yep, he's that Mr. Strazzo from the Star Academy library!), visiting my family and the beach back home in SLO, crafting, and watching shows about cooking and food. Although I have dietary restrictions, I love cooking too! Some of my favorites are the color purple, sunflowers, unsweetened green tea (iced or hot), anything with peanut butter and chocolate, and shopping at Target.
This is my ninth year teaching at Star Academy, my tenth year teaching overall, and my fourteenth year working in kindergarten. Kindergarten is my jam and I love being a part of the Star Academy family!
