We feed many families and individuals throughout Northwest Indiana due to the generosity of the many donations from our parishioners. Donations of any size Non-Perishable food items are welcomed and can be placed in our collections bins located at our entrance to the Church. After hour donations can be left on the benches outside of the parish entrance. One of our Nativity Food Pantry volunteers will collect those to be distributed. Our distribution days are the SECOND and FOURTH TUESDAYS of EVERY MONTH from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. We do ask that our Nativity Food Pantry guests please DO NOT LINE UP before 8:30 am for traffic reasons. If you know somebody who is in need, short or long term, please share this information with them.
We assist many families and individuals throughout Northwest Indiana due to the generosity of the many volunteers who are members of the Society of St. Vincent DePaul. They are willing to accept your financial support to help those who need assistance but they are also most grateful for your time to help with visits and meet the needs of those who are reaching out for assistance. Pray and if you are feeling called to donate of your time please reach out to the Nativity Society of St. Vincent DePaul at (219) 713-8109. And if you know somebody who is in need of SVDP please feel free to share the Hotline for Emergency Assistance (219) 713-8109. Advise them to leave a message and one of our valued volunteers will return their call. Assured that all who reach out are prayed for in a special way.
We are always collecting Men's gently used clothes of all sizes for our Nativity Prison Ministry. Many of these individuals are released after their time of rehabilitation and have nothing to wear. Our ministry provides them with well-fitting, clean clothes so they can continue their journey of rehabilitation. Our Blue Nativity Prison Ministry Men's Clothes Drop Box is located in the entry way of the church between the two entrances leading into the lobby of the church. Help these men look just as good as you did wearing those clothes! Donate anytime.
