FAQ
Q: I am going to be away a few times this summer, and I am going to miss some of the Strength program; is this a problem?
A: No, this is not a problem. We completely understand that the summer is a time for athletes to be with friends and family, and enjoy their time away from school. While we encourage athletes to attend as much of the program as possible in order to maximize their performance throughout the summer, athletes can miss time and reenter the program upon returning without any issue. Moreover, lifting and running protocols are designed to allow for technique to be demonstrated each day so that athletes who miss portions of the program can catch up.
Q: Is there a minimum attendance requirement to attend the program?
A: No, there is no minimum attendance requirement. Again, while we encourage athletes to attend the program as often as possible, we completely understand that vacations, camps, and other commitments will take precedence in certain instances.
Q: I have a summer job/volunteer requirement during my designated time session; what should I do?
A: For high school students, should you be unable to attend your 8:00am session (HS Boys/9th Football), or your 9:30am session ("For the Girls - High School Division"), you can join the 6:30 am session (10th-12th Football & Early Birds). We specifically created this session to allow for athletes with different commitments during their indicated time to still attend the program!
For middle school athletes, we do not have an alternative session should they not be able to attend the 9:30am ("For the Girls - Middle School Division") or the 11:00am session (Middle School Boys). Based on the fact the middle school sessions are comprised of athletes in grades 6,7, and 8, we do not feel comfortable allowing these young athletes to work out with high school athletes potentially five to six years older.
Q: In the event of inclement weather, what should I do?
A: Weather is not a factor! In the event of inclement weather, our programs will continue to workout in the fitness center for the strength training portion of one's workout, and the Natick High School Gymnasium/Indoor Track for the running component of the training session.
Q: If I can only attend a few weeks is it still worthwhile?
A: Without a doubt, it is worthwhile for a student-athlete to attend even if they can only attend for a few weeks due to other summer commitments. Think about it, any strength training and any endurance training is better than none! Moreover, while you are at our program, you WILL improve your technique, movement efficiency, and overall athletic capacity. No matter what you, as an athlete, can commit to us during the summer, we guarantee our maximum effort as coaches to help you improve while you are at the program!
