Mrs. Appleby

Mrs. Melissa Appleby has been employed by Northampton Area School District since 2024 as the Student Support Services Coordinator and School Counselor. She received both her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology/Sociology, and Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology/School Counseling from Centenary University in Hackettstown, New Jersey. Melissa is certified as a K-12 School Counselor in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and is also licensed as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in Pennsylvania. She is a member of the Pennsylvania State Education Association (PSEA), National Education Association (NEA), American School Counselor Association (ASCA), and is a National Certified Counselor (NCC).

In her free time, she loves to spend time with her family and friends, reading on her Kindle, camping, playing softball, watching her favorite sports teams- the Yankees, Jets and Devils, and taking her dogs- Sammy and Charlotte on walks.
