Guest Artists

New Albany Bands are fortunate to get to work with many renowned guest artists. These are composers, conductors, performers and veteran educators. Some recent experiences are highlighted below:

2016 - Concert Bands worked with Chris Bernotas

2017 - Concert Bands worked with (Ret. Colonel) Professor Michael Colburn. The band traveled to Indianapolis, IN and worked with Butler University Band Director Michael Colburn.

2018 - Concert Bands worked with Dr. Stacey Larson Dolan at THE VanderCook College of Music in Chicago, Illinois.

2018 - Concert Bands worked with Dr. Shawn Vondran, Band Director at Northwestern University.

2018 - 2020, Jazz Bands worked with artists from Capital University’s Jazz Faculty.

2019 - Concert Bands & Middle School Bands work with Professor Emeritus James Swearingen

2020 - Concert Bands worked with Mrs. Lisa Galvin in advance of the band performing Mrs. Galvin's piece, " " at OMEA Adjudicated Event.

2021 - Professor Zilincik, Capital University.

2022 - All 6-12 Band students worked with guest conductor Dr. Stacey Larson Dolan from THE VanderCook College of Music in Chicago, Illinois.
