I am beginning my 6th year teaching at Naples Elementary, and this year I will be co-teaching in 3rd grade with Mrs. Becker as well as working with 5th grade students on their individual education goals. Although I have only been teaching 6 years, I have been a part of the Naples Community for 18 years. While my children attended school and graduated from Naples, I was also on staff working behind the scenes. I enjoyed working with students so much, I attended Finger Lakes Community College and then transferred to Geneseo State College where I earned a teaching degree in Childhood Education/Special Education. I then went on to earn my masters degree from Walden University in Special Education K-12th grade. Helping every student grow academically, emotionally and socially are all reasons why I love working in a co-taught classroom.
