About Me

I reside in the district with my husband, 2 daughters, 2 dogs, 1 cat, and an array of farm animals. I've been teaching for over 20 years and have enjoyed working in the Naples School District for over 10 years. I am co-advisor of the Naples Elementary PLANT Club. When I'm not working I enjoy running, yoga, paddle boarding, skiing, growing and raising healthy food, and most any other outdoor activity.

My Teaching Philosophy

My favorite part of being a Special Education Teacher is the opportunity I have to interact closely with each of my students. I love getting to know my students as individuals with unique personalities and gifts. I enjoy helping students find their own pathway to learning and feeling successful; recognizing that this path is as unique as each student is and may be filled with peaks and valleys. I believe the purpose of teaching is to guide students to see their own abilities and potential so that they can follow their path as lifelong learners. I believe strongly in partnering with families to make this happen.
