Good day to all! This is your friendly event DEIB Coordinator here. I’m Serena and I am excited to serve you all at this event.
First and foremost, I wanted to let everyone know that I am open to ideas, feedback, and reasonable requests regarding accessibility for this event. I will gladly put all of which into consideration.
Many of us have frequented this site for numerous events, but for those who are unfamiliar with the site, here are some things that may help you out.
The main parking lot is Gravel, but there is a paved walkway that runs from the parking lot to the main hall. Most of the upper section of the site is relatively level, but if attending Archery/Thrown Weapons or the Vigils, please be advised that there are some uneven areas you will have to traverse.
There is a bath house centralized on site. It has showers and toilets designated mens and womens. There will also be Prot-a-Johns located at the archery field and at the parking lot area. The Parking lot Port-a-John will be handicap accessible.
Populace Support will have a station set up near the parking lot to help get help to where it is needed. Please see Darian DeShameless for assistance.
Sanctuary will be available for anyone who needs a place to rest during the day. Always open to all, you can find a quiet place to sit, take a nap in the resting area, have a snack, play with a fidget or just take a breath. Site Heralds will also refrain from their usual bellows around this location. They will still stop by and let you know what is going on.
There are ample camp sites available for those planning on staying the night. If planning to camp with a group, please arrive early and stake your claim.
Please note, the areas around the flag poles will be designated for Children and Family activities as well as visiting barony pavilions. Please see the site map for designated camping areas.
Service Animals and Pets are welcome at this event. Please be advised that your four legged companion will need to be leashed at all times while on site.
During Baronial Court, banners will be used to announce which awards are being given in case you are unable to hear the announcements.
Hydration stations will be available in multiple locations during the event. Please bring a cup, mug, or bottle to refill. Water stations can be found at Archery/Thrown Weapons, Water Bearing near the lyst and at Sanctuary.
Please keep an eye out for future updates. This is Oklahoma and you never know what the weather will throw at us. Additional accommodations may be added, pending environmental changes.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.
