Course Description
This geometry course is aligned to the Next Generation Geometry Standards. The class will focus on six areas:
This geometry course is aligned to the Next Generation Geometry Standards. The class will focus on six areas:
1. Congruence
2. Similarity, Right Triangles, and Trigonometry
3. Circles
4. Expressing Geometric Properties with Equations
5. Geometric Measurement and Dimensions
6. Modeling with Geometry
Students will be taking a regents exam on June 10, 2025. This regents exam counts as 20% of their final grade in the course.
Classroom Materials
You are required to have the following items with you in class on a daily basis:
1. Pencil
2. 1.5” or 2" Binder with dividers (labels: Notes, Homework, Quizzes, Tests, Vocabulary)
3. Compass (will be provided)
4. Graphing Calculator (will be provided)
5. Ruler (will be provided)
