Ms. Fortier's Class

Monday, March 30

Hey y'all! Make sure you have completed all of the assignments from last week. Based on survey responses, most of y’all are doing something active to mix up your day. Here is the perfect opportunity to share what y’all are doing :) I also included a special video of what I have been doing to stay active at home with a special guest, the other Ms. Fortier!

  1. Film a short video (30 seconds to 1 minute) of what you have been doing to stay active. This can be anything from playing with your pet, to chasing a little sibling around, to a full on guided workout.

  2. Post your video to Flipgrid (see link on Google Classroom).

  3. Watch my video and laugh!

Alright kiddos, I'm coming at you with a calculation tutorial today! These are all the calculations you will be doing to design your device tomorrow but I have a sample reaction to walk you through the process. Please make sure you watch the whole video so you know exactly how to do the calculations. If you have any questions, don't forget that you can schedule a time to meet with me. Stay safe out there!

Wednesday, April 1

Happy April Fools Day! You have no assignments today... just kidding! Today you need to complete the material selection calculations. Please reference the video from yesterday to see how to complete the calculations. My suggestion is to watch the video then pause it to complete a section. If you go step by step, it should prove to be pretty easy. If you have questions, feel free to schedule office hours!

Hello my lovelies! Happy Friday! Today you will be finishing up your Device Diagram and Description. The goal is to use all of the calculations that you did on Tuesday and Wednesday to create the "label" that would accompany your product on a store self. Please watch the video from yesterday for more detailed instructions and the breakdown of an example. Lots of y'all have been scheduling office hours, so make sure if you have a question, you reach out! Monday we will be having another class meet up so watch out for the links and times to follow!
