Standards

Standards:

There are 5 standards for the Special Education Resource Room:

· Standard 1:

o Apply writing rules & conventions: grammar, punctuation, capitalization, and spelling.

· Standard 2:

o Use mathematical reasoning and problem solving.

· Standard 3:

o Apply number sense to everyday situations.

· Standard 4:

o Evaluate validity and accuracy of information, using personal or objective criteria to draw conclusion, make inferences, decide meanings, form opinions, and/or make judgments.

· Standard 5:

o Use oral communication for various purposes and audiences including those which appropriately incorporate the following: word choice, pronunciation, inflection/modulation, physical gestures, eye contact, and posture.
