My name is Dionne Davidson. I make up the whole special education department at Magic Valley High School.
I was born and raised in Burley Idaho. Besides a few summer adventures, I have lived in Idaho my whole life. I graduated from Idaho State University with a Bachelors of Art degree in elementary education and an endorsement in special education. I was a December graduate and my job found me. Magic Valley High School was being mandated to have a special education teacher at their school. I accepted the job and thought I would stay their for the remainder of that year and then find an elementary position for the next year. I am now on year 20 at Magic Valley High School. I love working with the older students. I so enjoy watching my students learn and grow. My favorite part is seeing my students succeed in whatever they set their minds to.
Outside of school, my time is taken up with my family. I am a mom of three boys and they keep me busy. I also have a very large extended family, that I spend lots of time with. I enjoy reading, camping, crafting and watching the hallmark channel. One of hidden talents, that I have been sharing with the students this year, is I sign. It has been fun to have more students learn sign language and be able to have conversations with them.
I believe that all students can learn and be successful. I love working closely with the students, they have so much to offer. My classroom has an open door policy and I strive to create a comfortable environment where they students want to be and feel safe.
