Field Day Schedule:
Kinder and First Grades: 8:20 am – 11:35 am
Second, Third, and Fourth Grades: 12 pm – 3:15 pm
**Fifth grade helps Coach B run the show!
**Please make sure your student comes to school with a WATER BOTTLE labeled clearly with their name!!!
What to wear (ALL students should COME TO SCHOOL dressed in Field Day attire):
Tennis shoes are required—there may be some muddy areas, so old tennis shoes are best!
• Girls: Field Day T-shirt or PE shirt, PE shorts or any shorts made of fabric that can dry quickly. Many girls prefer to wear a one-piece swim suit underneath their tops & bottoms for the water slide. Shorts stay on the entire day and T-shirt may be removed for the waterslide only IF a one piece bathing suit is underneath. Shoes are also removed for the water slide.
• Boys: Field Day T-shirt/PE shirt, PE shorts/shorts that dry quickly OR bathing suit shorts.
**Purchased Field Day T-shirts will come home with your student by Wednesday, 4/19.
Tips:
• Please have a towel to use after water slide & games with water. The morning water stations can be chilly! An extra towel or robe is also helpful for any kiddo's who get cold easily.
• It’s supposed to be a sunny day—some kiddos like to have a hat, sunglasses & even goggles for the water slide!
• Sunscreen and bug spray are also great ideas to remember.
• A small backpack or bag to carry all the above items in as your student participates is a GREAT IDEA!!!!
• Kinder & 1st graders must bring a DRY change of clothes/spirit wear/uniform for AFTER Field Day festivities, including top, bottoms, socks, undies & maybe even shoes! It’s also a good idea to send a grocery sack for wet clothes!!
KONA ICE IS COMING from 10 am to 1 pm on FIELD DAY!! If your student would like to have a snow cone with their class, please send $3 to your child’s homeroom teacher Monday through Thursday, 4/17 through 4/20. We are prepaying for the snow cones so the money doesn’t get sticky!!!
**If you have any additional questions about Field Day, feel free to contact Coach B at page.burkhalter.mytesa.org. Let's make this FIELD DAY one to remember FOREVER!
