Kindergarten Registration
Sweeny ISD is so excited to have you visiting our page and even more excited for the opportunity to teach your children. Each spring, we begin the process of registering students entering kindergarten. To attend kindergarten in the 23-24 school year, students must be five or older on or before September 1st.
This early registration process gives parents information to ease the transition into kindergarten and assists the District in planning for enrollment growth and staffing needs. Please follow the new student registration instructions below and take advantage of this opportunity to register your child.
In addition to basic information about your child, please be prepared to provide copies of the following documents:
Certified copy of the child's birth certificate
Child's immunization record validated by a physician's signature or stamp
Child's social security number (optional but preferred)
Driver's License of parent/guardian registering child
Proof of residency (utility bill, lease agreement, contract). If you are not a resident of Sweeny ISD, but you are living with someone who is a resident, the resident must complete a Falsification form. This form is available when you enroll.
Registration forms are available below. Completion of forms prior to enrollment will expedite the process.
Please remember that enrollment is only complete once the documentation has been reviewed and processed by District staff. Sweeny Elementary School will provide additional communications to prepare for a successful kindergarten transition.

Welcome to Sweeny ISD! We are excited to have your child with us for the 23-24 school year! This year SISD will offer new student registration in person.
Schedule your appointment with the campus your child will be attending for the 23-24 school year.
Early Registration: May 1st to June 15th
Registration: July 12th to August 18th

Contact your campus to schedule an appointment to complete your registration. Please remember to bring all of your required documentation and forms to your scheduled appointment.
** If you do not have ALL of the required documentation, your appointment will be cancelled and you will have to reschedule once you have collected all the appropriate documentation.
